Myoma Surgery
What is Myoma Surgery?
Benign tumors that form in the uterus are called fibroids. Fibroids are more common in women aged 25-45 years, who are of reproductive age. The reason for this is shown as the growth of myoma with the withdrawal of the estrogen hormone secreted during the reproductive age from the body with menopause.
What Are the Symptoms of Myoma?
Myoma surgery is the treatment method used in cases where pregnancy is desired and if the existing fibroids pose a risk for the continuation of pregnancy. This procedure, called myomectomy, can be performed in open fibroid surgery or laparoscopically.
How Is Myoma Treatment?
Myoma treatment varies according to the age of the patient, the size of the fibroid, and the general health condition. If the fibroid is not very large, the surgery is performed by laparoscopy, while in some people, the fibroids can be downsized with medication.
